Well, I wouldn't stand and look at the car, I would be thankful and take
it out and drive it.

If one feels they ought to pay for the gift, the gift and the gift giver
has been nullified by the value the receiver's own righteousness.
Moreover, the receiver did not give the gift, so the receiver has no
generosity in which to adorn himself.

But there is more, much more.

For instance, if the receiver thinks he is worthy, he has made the gift
and the gift giver worthless. You see, a "free will" is a gift, it is
not something that is given for one to claim as a right. That is why
religion can't go anywhere, because it thinks it is entitled by virtue
of what they consider themselves to be and also of its own works.

Here is a bible verse...

Mat 7:22  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not
prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy
name done many wonderful works?

I don't know where you are at, but if you know God, you know that all
things come from Him.

Religion seeks to attain glory for itself, but glory is God's alone.
Notice in the verse above, they are pretending what they did was for His
glory, but they did it for their own glory.

Hence Jesus says...Mat 7:23  And then will I profess unto them, I never
knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

drugs, burglers, bullies, cheaters, adulterers, etc, etc. I can speak
for myself, the Bible does change you. But you have to prove it to
yourself that the Bible is really from God:

1 Th 5:21,
"Prove all things; hold fast that which is good." (KJV)

The Bible is REAL. There is a Heaven, but is NO literal hellfire
place. Your family members who have died will be resurrected and be
given the opportunity to live forever on a paradise earth, with no
more wars, nor pain and suffering. It will be a REAL utopia.

Make the truth your own?
Never. It belongs to God.

You are misunderstanding me. Making the truth (of the Bible) my own
(learning from the Bible). That is what I mean.

Paul in that I do the bad things when I don't want to. But I keep

Never. It belongs to God.

You are misunderstanding me. Making the truth (of the Bible) my own
(learning from the Bible). That is what I mean.

You are not hearing me. You can't, you're a sinner striving to be good.

Among JW's there are thousands of us who were alcoholics, on other
drugs, burglers, bullies, cheaters, adulterers, etc, etc. I can speak
for myself, the Bible does change you. But you have to prove it to
1 Th 5:21,
"Prove all things; hold fast that which is good." (KJV)
The Bible is REAL. There is a Heaven, but is NO literal hellfire
place. Your family members who have died will be resurrected and be
given the opportunity to live forever on a paradise earth, with no
more wars, nor pain and suffering. It will be a REAL utopia.

That is the world for you.

Think of every war, every government, every leader, all are trying to
