Even if Jesus died for the sins committed before he died, how does that
affect the sins committed after he died? How can anyone say that Jesus
died for the sins of non-Christians who do not believe he was savior or
messiah?

Let's presume the Son of God did die for the sins of the whole world.
God does not need permission to be graceful and merciful. Would you
agree with that?
Jesus fulfilled the law of God perfectly; the perfect law of God which
condemned us all was removed. That is what renting the veil of the
temple in twain means: the law is gone. So, before and after sins don't
apply, because there is nothing to condemn a man.
Think of a highway where there is a speed sign of 60 miles an hour. God
removed the sign (the law), so speeding fines are now defunct.
The question is: what now applies?

A free choice.
To choose to love God with all your heart, soul, and mind for His great
grace and mercy and for life itself or shun Him.
What a man sows, so shall he reap.
Here is the thing, though, to love Him with all your heart, soul, and
mind you need Him to come spiritually into your life and transform you.
Only those who are serious, and sincerely and earnestly seek the Lord,
find Him.
Trust me, it is all or nothing; that is the kind of God He is. Would
you expect anything less? Would you expect your wife to be almost
faithful? Your friend? Your children? Your accountant?
No, that would NEVER do.

That sounds great, but that is all.

Then in Judaism you have no hope, because you can't possibly pay for the
sin you have committed and will commit.

Case in point: have you paid for your sins; the ones you know about, let
alone the ones you don't? Is your ledger clean and pure?

You are dealing with a holy God, Arthur!

Incidentally, even the regular Christians think they can pay for their
sin with good deeds. They'll talk about faith alone, and not of works,
but they go right out there and try to be good to save themselves.

With God, all things are possible, but working through your own
fallen-ness to obtain salvation is impossible. You can't save yourself
from what you are. God must do it.

Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets waited for the Messiah,
and they saw His day from the bosom of Abraham (the bosom of Judaism)
and rejoiced, for they knew they had no hope without Him.

You just has to ask, why do you wait for a Moshiach? Leave alone the
notion of the Lord Jesus being the Messiah. Why, why is Israel still
waiting for a Moshiach?

To save you, because you can't save yourself; not from the world, but
from yourselves, from what you are.
