29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

That is the Word of God for you, praise Him For it. Thank Him for when you
need them they will always be there for the Believer.

God is far beyond GOOD!

Caution is called for least we misuse language. The "gifts" are willy
nilly filled backward with modern "theories of scripture as in pentecostal
and spawn thereof " as to meaning. Whenever the word "gift" appears;
assume it means the same in all places/uses as in the modern "theories of
scripture".

The verse just before speaks of the election of believers. The above
suggest that a believer has no choice as to "gifts". A calvinist says;
see there; the elect were chosen by God to have salvation, they have no
choice nor as to "gifts". All others not chosen/lect have no salvation nor
"gifts" regardless of whatever they might want.

Both are recent new "theories of scripture" joined in the practice of
current ideas being poured backward into that language. The real question
instead is what has been the unbroken teaching of Christ's church these
2000 years as the benchmark for "gifts/salvation".

Not an idea, but a word from the Heavenly Father, one who changes not.

Jas 1:6-8

6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave
of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.

7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;

8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

Tis a shame that some would take on the role of a seed stealer, not only
robbing themselves and those around them of God Gracious Love and Promises, but
also seeks to destroy the faith of others.
