Discussion:
Has or is this prayer of Jesus for us been or being realized through you?

“Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe
on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in
me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may
believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have
given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in
me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that
thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. Father, I will
that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may
behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the
foundation of the world. O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee:
but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. And I
have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love
wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.†(Joh

This is a bucket full of prayer, and once this starts to percolate within
your soul and spirit it will overflow like a bottle of Coca Cola that was
warm and well shaken.

This is the unity that God seeks, not one of religion. There are many
religions, but there is but One God. Are you fully a living part of Him? Or
do you curse the brethren?

By THIS Love the gifts of the Holy Spirt spoken of in 1 Cor 12, will operate.

The original poster did not include the 1st verse below, it sets the
context for theosis,ie. sanctification/holiness as a believers spiritual
objective.

Christ was addressing the apostles, who were about to form His church, the
one witnessing to the teachings below these 2000 years without
interrruption:

John

17:19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be
sanctified through the truth.

17:20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe
on me through their word;

17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee,
that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast
sent me.>

Incorrect. There is no context for theosis, as this was part of a prayer of
Jesus to His Heavenly Father. In it he stated at v 19 that this was for his
disciples, the original 12 and then in the very next verse he prayed for EVERY
Believer that came to Jesus as a result of their testimony. For everyone at
that time, as well as for ALL Born Again Believers up unto the time of his
return in the clouds to snatch away all the believers, dead first, and those
that are alive and remain, together to meet them in the Clouds with Jesus, and
then go to Heaven for the Marriage Feast.

The subject title mentions that this portion of the prayer was for all
believers of this time.
As to theosis, it cannot be earned, it is not of mans works, it is not
accomplished by any "step Program", A believer IS sanctified by God the Father
at the moment of his re-birth.

There is no "spiritual objective". God is the author and finisher of our faith,
NOT MAN.

Therefore your petty argument has no weight. It is off topic, and it only
attempts to inject the doubts and teachings of Satan as to any relevancy of
Christs prayer for the well being and power for all Born Again Believers at any
age.

This is a full on Blatant Lie, a deception of the spirit of the antichrist.

The apostles could form NO Church, not even an ekklesia. The Body of Christ is
formed by The Heavenly Father by His Holy Spirit through the work of Jesus
Christ and him sacrificed. What you speak of are the religious traditions of
men and they have been broken up for centuries that is why their are so many
religions, and self righteous people who adhere to them and place them above
the very word of God. Men willing to die for the RCC or the Orthodox, or the
Baptists, etc. etc. Big deal! We are supposed to be followers of Christ,
martyrs for him, to serve him not a priest, not an apostle, but Jesus. It is
the Holy Spirit who sets up those in the ministry gifts, not some religious
organization. When men take control they corrupt the finer things of God, which
you have attempted to do by saying that no one but the Apostles was worthy of
the Prayers and teachings of Jesus.

You as well as people of your ilk are hypocrites, phony's, false witnesses.
Just like in 1 Cor 12 and 13 where it speaks of the gifts of the Holy Spirit as
given to men who are filled with the Holy Spirit, you all deny the gifts, as
well as puff yourselves up saying that you are going solely for the Best way,
that being on of Love. BAH! It is by Love that all things in Christ operate and
benefit all.

“Let love be your greatest aim; nevertheless, ask also for the special
abilities the Holy Spirit gives, and especially the gift of prophecy, being
able to preach the messages of God.” (1Co 14:1)

This is the way of God, not the cutting off of your nose to spite you face in
humility. One is to serve to the edifying or lifting up of others in the Body
of Christ.

One is either with God or against Him.

One either uplifts God, or they deny Him and His Words, thus creating doubt and
short sheeting the entire body of Christ. The latter being the Horn that you
toot for 2,000 years.
