October 22, 2023 is Kof Awareness Day, Mother-In-Law Day,
Smart is Cool Day, and D-moon (first quarter moon).

I am making another attempt to instigate a new age (and
end war globally) as described on alt.religion.druid on the
thread “Another D-Moon (onset) attempt”.

In Jewish terms, this attempt might last from Kof Awareness Day
to the phase of Yom Kippur (but not the right lunar month),
but I hope to make some progress in the next few hours.

In Buddhist terms, one tradition says that the Buddha achieved
awakening/enlightenment at first quarter moon (D-moon),
and another tradition says full moon, so perhaps it was
in between.

In druid terms, rather than the hard to observe early waxing
crescent, druids used the straight edge of the D-moon as
a marker for the beginning of a new lunar month.

In Christian terms, if you visualize a stem on the moon,
it is like a Holy Grail.

In Muslim terms, the moon is split in half.

Now for a zero alcohol beer, since it is my non-drinking period.

That attempt failed, but I may try again beginning in
about five hours from now.

Ans it seems that Kof Awareness Day is a recently invented holiday.

October 24, 2023 is United Nations Day, the anniversary
of the official creation of the United Nations in 1945.

It is also Vijayadashami, also known as Dussehra, Dasara
or Dashain, a major Hindu festival celebrated every year
at the end of Navaratri. (from Wikipedia)

I think it is also about the same lunar phase as Yom Kippur,
though not the same lunar month.

I am still plugging away on alt.religion.druid .
