John 5:23
That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He
that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

For they are One God.

Matthew 27:46
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli,
Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou
forsaken me?

That is the translation of man, but the revelation through the Holy
Spirit is, "Of Me, of Me, is My suffering."

In other words, the Father did not turn away from Himself, but embraced
His experience.

Probably a bit much for a few.

Nevertheless.

God is completely immersed in all there is. He doesn't check out; He
never checks out.

What a magnificent God who would do that and be mindful (mind full) of
those made in His image!

John 5:23
That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He

Jesus is using the standard method of teaching here to tell everyone
witnessing his death just exactly what it is all about. In ancient Judea
most everyone had memorized the scriptures. It was common practice to
quote the opening sentence of a Psalm or scripture, and the learned
audience would understand the rest of the story or implication without
needing to hear the entire chapter.

By crying out, "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" Jesus was
quoting the first sentence of Psalm 22. The hearer would have been
expected to know the rest of the verses, and understood that Jesus was
declaring himself the Lord of creation and the fulfillment of the
prophecy of the seed of David that will rule forever, as prophesied
almost a thousand years earlier in Psalm 22.

By saying, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani," Jesus was telling the onlookers
that he was going to rise from the dead. He was not talking to the
Father to gripe about his situation. By saying, "My God, my God, why
have you forsaken me?" Jesus was talking to us. He wasn't saying that he
felt God had turned his back on him or let him down. He was employing
the scriptural term of art because not even for one second did he doubt
that the Father would raise him up from the grave.

If you read Psalm 22 it becomes immediately obvious what prophecy Jesus
was referring to when he cried out from the cross:

"My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from
helping me, and from the words of my roaring?"

[...]

"All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they
shake the head, saying, He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver
him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him."

[...]

"They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.
I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart
is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels. My strength is
dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou
hast brought me into the dust of death. For dogs have compassed me: the
assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my
feet. I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me. They part my
garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture."

[...]

"I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the
congregation will I praise thee. Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all
ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of
Israel. For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the
afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto
him, he heard."

[...]

"All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go
down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own
soul. A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a
generation. They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a
people that shall be born, that he hath done this."

Psalm 22 was written almost a thousand years before Jesus was crucified.
Crucifixion had not even been invented yet when this Psalm was written.
yet even before the practice of crucifixion had been conceived, the
prophecy said:

"... they pierced my hands and my feet."

In the holy consciousness of Jesus Christ, he had faith that this cursed
execution was his doorway to being Lord of all creation. He wasn't
whining. He was gloating! By referencing Psalm 22 he was putting
everyone on notice that he would rise from the grave and take dominion.

You see, Jesus wasn't crying out in distress to ask God why he was being
kicked to the curb. He was instructing the witnesses what was about to
happen. Jesus was gloating over his victory!

surprise.

Do you see that, NightBulb? "His Father and His God." In other words,
he is saying Jesus is not God. Satanic forces always seek to separate
and pull down to its own dominion/understanding/fallibleness. For
example, "a work around." :-).

By the way, if Jesus fully knew what He was about to face, He is not
trying to find a work around. These people know not what they say and
do, they just seek to rule in their own likeness, like their father.

His prayer at Gethsemane was long before he cried out the Psalm 22
verse. We are discussing his final words moments before he died. He was
not asking God to deliver him from his predicament. Jesus was gloating!
He knew he was about to die in a few moments and he cried out this Psalm
to glory in what he had accomplished. Then he said "It is finished." He
wasn't asking God at this late point in time to "offer a workaround." It
was already done in 3 ... 2 ... 1.

Jesus Christ is God with us. He died like a boss, not a whimpering,
scared, mortal sinner. His cry on the cross in which he quoted Psalm 22
was a boast, a shout of triumph! He wasn't complaining! He wasn't
begging! He was boasting about what was written in Psalm 22 almost a
thousand years before that moment. Robert has some seriously messed up
Romish theology addling his brain!

The reason Robert contends so crazily is because:

1. He doesn't believe that Jesus is God and came from the Father and is
One with the Father.

2. He doesn't believe that Jesus understood what he was doing.

3. He doesn't believe that the shed blood of Jesus is sufficient to take
away all sin. He is constantly larding Romish pig theology on top of a
clean and holy sacrifice to make it improved and bacon-tasty! It's the
Roman way.
Do you see that, NightBulb?  "His Father and His God."  In other words,
he is saying Jesus is not God. Satanic forces always seek to separate
and pull down to its own dominion/understanding/fallibleness.  For
example, "a work around."  :-).
I see it. I just commented on it in another post. They want to pull him
down to their level. They want to pull Jesus down into the crab bucket
with themselves.
By the way, if Jesus fully knew what He was about to face, He is not
trying to find a work around.  These people know not what they say and
do, they just seek to rule in their own likeness, like their father.
Yes. They rule through fear and intimidation: "Do as I say, not as I
do." Jehovah Elohim rules through love and leading by example: "Do
exactly as you see me do."

Seems you have little understanding of Prophecy.

He had already spoken that he was to rise from the dead numerous times and in
varied direct ways. There are no "artsy spiritual ways", there was no art in
his manner of judgment, beating, mocking and crucifixion as it was all deadly
serious business.

If you read Psalm 22 it becomes immediately obvious what prophecy Jesus
Crucifixion had not even been invented yet when this Psalm was written.
yet even before the practice of crucifixion had been conceived, the
"... they pierced my hands and my feet."
This was a prophetic Chapter of Jesus, one that was fulfilled by Jesus alone.
He cried what he said loudly because of the pain he felt and what he was
going through, he didn't just "quote" the First verse, Jesus knew fully what
he was about to face, which is why he asked his Father and His God, if this
cup could be worked around.

They do, they most certainly do.

I am writing something at the moment that may be a bit borderline that
comes in here.

It is about a telescope and seeking to separate everything according to
the natural fallen nature paradigm of sin inclination (if that sounds
right).

I was debating whether to post it, but I will later when I have another
look at it.

Yes. They rule through fear and intimidation: "Do as I say, not as I

That is because they walk in fear and being intimidated. Go to any
Sunday meeting, they fear and are too intimated to speak what they truly
think in their hearts.

They'll be out on the street before the Pastor says, "My will be done." :-).

What is the greatest thing two people can have together? Unity. It is
instant friendship/love. You can't have that in the presence of fear
and intimidation.
