No sinner Christians.

Gal 2:20-21

20 I have been crucified with Christ, and I live; yet no longer I, but Christ
lives in me. And that life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith toward
the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself on my behalf.

21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousnessis through law,
then Christ died without cause.

Were you crucified with Jesus, or did you hold back yourself from full
commitment?

See and hear what Duane Sheriff has said on this topic, and of his experience
of an open vision of Christ on the Cross many years ago.

But what about fucked up sinner Christian morality?

Surely, it has a place besides the Lord on His throne?

Christ Rosie needs a stool to sit on, or is that a stool to pass?

Were you crucified with Jesus, or did you hold back yourself from full
commitment?
See and hear what Duane Sheriff has said on this topic, and of his experience
of an open vision of Christ on the Cross many years ago.
Below is an explanation of what Duane Sheriff said about the believer
being crucified with Christ, as well as his profession of faith in a
triune God.

To begin, here's what Duane Sheriff said about being crucified with Christ:

Main Point:

Duane Sheriff emphasizes that believers have a new identity in Christ
through their crucifixion with Him. He teaches that the old self, which
was united with Adam in sin, has been crucified, and a new creation has
emerged through the resurrection of Christ. This transformation is
central to understanding who believers are in Christ.

Supporting Points:

1. New Identity in Christ – When a person is born again, they become a
new creation, leaving behind their old identity in Adam and receiving a
new identity in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).

2. Union with Christ’s Death and Resurrection – Sheriff describes a
vision he had of being crucified, buried, and raised with Christ. He
teaches that just as believers were in Adam when he sinned, they were
also in Christ when He died and rose again (Galatians 2:20, Romans 6,
Ephesians 2).

[I would note, here, that one does not need to experience an
extra-biblical "vision" of dying with Christ to sin and being raised
with Him to newness of life. It is the declaration of Scripture in
Romans 6 that the believer has died with Christ to sin and risen with
Him to newness of life, which establishes it as fact. It does not
require an extra-biblical vision to validate, since it has already been
validated as truth by God's word. I would strongly exhort that the truth
in the Bible is validated and sufficient to promote the faith needed to
live for God, without having to claim extra-biblical experiences. The
Bible is truth whether your experience confirms that or not.]

3. The Old Self is Dead – The believer’s "old man," identified with sin
and condemnation, was crucified with Christ. He strongly asserts that
the believer is not in a process of dying but has already died with
Christ (Romans 6:6).

[Likewise, Romans 8 tells us that those God justified, He also
"glorified". God speaks of the believer's glorification in the past
tense, presenting it as an accomplished fact that already happened in
the past. Yet the chapter goes on to say that we "wait" in the "hope" of
glory, for that which we do not yet see in our daily experience. From
God's perspective, our glorification is a finished, once-for-all,
accomplished fact that was completed in the past. From our experience,
we still wait to experience deliverance from the corruption of the old
nature.

Further, Romans 6 tells the believer to "know" he has died with Christ
to sin and risen with Him to newness of life, to "count" it to be true,
then to "yield" his members as instruments of righteousness to God. If
it were just an automatic benefit of salvation to
experience victory over sin, those actions would not be required. It
shows the position we have in Christ must be appropriated by faith, and
then acted upon by the power of the Holy Spirit, in order to experience
the deliverance from sin's power. If the old nature were eradicated from
existence, it would not require faith in Christ to overcome the
influence of that nature, since it wouldn't exist to tempt the believer.

The believer only benefits from this position in Christ's death to sin
and resurrection to newness of life when he "knows" it, "counts" it to
be true, then yields his members as instruments of righteousness to God.
Thus, there is the believer's position in Christ, then there is the walk
in daily life which one enjoys through faith in God's provision. This
does not, however, guarantee that the believer will choose to yield his
members as instruments of righteousness to God. If it were an automatic,
guaranteed result that he would, there would be no reason to even
explain this or exhort believers to yield to the spirit rather than the
flesh.]

4. A New Creation in Christ – Sheriff contrasts the first Adam, who
brought sin and death, with Christ, the "last Adam," who brought life
and righteousness. Believers are no longer part of the old creation in
Adam but are now part of the new creation in Christ (1 Corinthians
15:45-47).

5. Living by Faith in Christ – The Christian life is now lived by faith
in Christ’s finished work rather than through human effort. Sheriff
highlights Galatians 2:20 as the foundation for this understanding.

6. Seated with Christ in Authority – Believers not only died with Christ
but were also raised and seated with Him in heavenly places, signifying
their victory and authority in Christ (Ephesians 2:6).

7. Overcoming the Old Identity – He emphasizes that natural traits and
familial backgrounds do not define a believer’s identity. Instead, their
true identity is found in Christ, and they must renew their minds to
this truth.

8. Separation from the World – Accepting this identity creates a divide
between those in Christ and those still in Adam. Sheriff connects this
to Jesus’ teaching that following Him may result in division, even
within families (Matthew 10:34-39).

9. Jesus as the Father of the New Creation – He interprets Isaiah 9:6 as
describing Jesus as the "Everlasting Father" of the new creation,
contrasting Adam, who fathered the fallen human race, with Christ, who
brings new life.

10. Victory Over Sin and Death – Sheriff concludes by asserting that
believers do not need another redeemer after Christ. Jesus, as the last
Adam, has reversed the effects of sin and established a new humanity in Him.

This teaching encourages believers to fully embrace their identity in
Christ, walk in the authority given to them, and reject any identity
rooted in the old nature inherited from Adam.

Next, here's Duane Sheriff's profession of faith in the triune nature of
God:

"There is one God, eternally existent in three persons God the Father,
God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit" (Sheriff "About").

Have you heard the good news Christ died for our sins (†), and God
raised Him from the dead?

That Christ died for our sins shows we're sinners who deserve the death
penalty. That God raised Him from the dead shows Christ's death
satisfied God's righteous demands against our sin (Romans 3:25; 1 John
2:1-2). This means God can now remain just, while forgiving you of your
sins, and saving you from eternal damnation.

On the basis of Christ's death and resurrection for our sins, call on
the name of the Lord to save you: "For 'everyone who calls on the name
of the Lord will be saved'" (Romans 10:13, ESV).

I didn't write that, Rosie, Robert Religion did.

It doesn't matter how much theology Duane has, he is not born again. He
is only chewing on the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and
evil, like you and Robert.

Theology does not and cannot and will never save a man!

It is with heart that man believes unto righteousness, not
head/doctrinal analysis/bible knowledge.

Below is an explanation of what Duane Sheriff said about the believer
being crucified with Christ, as well as his profession of faith in a
triune God.
Duane Sheriff emphasizes that believers have a new identity in Christ
through their crucifixion with Him. He teaches that the old self,
which was united with Adam in sin, has been crucified, and a new
creation has emerged through the resurrection of Christ. This
transformation is central to understanding who believers are in Christ.
1. New Identity in Christ – When a person is born again, they become a
new creation, leaving behind their old identity in Adam and receiving
a new identity in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).
[I would note, here, that one does not need to experience an extra-
biblical "vision" of dying with Christ to sin and being raised with
Him to newness of life. It is the declaration of Scripture in Romans 6
that the believer has died with Christ to sin and risen with Him to
newness of life, which establishes it as fact. It does not require an
extra- biblical vision to validate, since it has already been
validated as truth by God's word. I would strongly exhort that the
truth in the Bible is validated and sufficient to promote the faith
needed to live for God, without having to claim extra-biblical
experiences. The Bible is truth whether your experience confirms that
or not.]
3. The Old Self is Dead – The believer’s "old man," identified with
sin and condemnation, was crucified with Christ. He strongly asserts
that the believer is not in a process of dying but has already died
with Christ (Romans 6:6).
[Likewise, Romans 8 tells us that those God justified, He also
"glorified". God speaks of the believer's glorification in the past
tense, presenting it as an accomplished fact that already happened in
the past. Yet the chapter goes on to say that we "wait" in the "hope"
of glory, for that which we do not yet see in our daily experience.
From God's perspective, our glorification is a finished, once-for-all,
accomplished fact that was completed in the past. From our experience,
we still wait to experience deliverance from the corruption of the old
nature.
Further, Romans 6 tells the believer to "know" he has died with Christ
to sin and risen with Him to newness of life, to "count" it to be
true, then to "yield" his members as instruments of righteousness to
God. If it were just an automatic benefit of salvation to
experience victory over sin, those actions would not be required. It
shows the position we have in Christ must be appropriated by faith,
and then acted upon by the power of the Holy Spirit, in order to
experience the deliverance from sin's power. If the old nature were
eradicated from existence, it would not require faith in Christ to
overcome the influence of that nature, since it wouldn't exist to
tempt the believer.
The believer only benefits from this position in Christ's death to sin
and resurrection to newness of life when he "knows" it, "counts" it to
be true, then yields his members as instruments of righteousness to
God. Thus, there is the believer's position in Christ, then there is
the walk in daily life which one enjoys through faith in God's
provision. This does not, however, guarantee that the believer will
choose to yield his members as instruments of righteousness to God. If
it were an automatic, guaranteed result that he would, there would be
no reason to even explain this or exhort believers to yield to the
spirit rather than the flesh.]
4. A New Creation in Christ – Sheriff contrasts the first Adam, who
brought sin and death, with Christ, the "last Adam," who brought life
and righteousness. Believers are no longer part of the old creation in
Adam but are now part of the new creation in Christ (1 Corinthians
15:45-47).
5. Living by Faith in Christ – The Christian life is now lived by
faith in Christ’s finished work rather than through human effort.
Sheriff highlights Galatians 2:20 as the foundation for this
understanding.
6. Seated with Christ in Authority – Believers not only died with
Christ but were also raised and seated with Him in heavenly places,
signifying their victory and authority in Christ (Ephesians 2:6).
7. Overcoming the Old Identity – He emphasizes that natural traits and
familial backgrounds do not define a believer’s identity. Instead,
their true identity is found in Christ, and they must renew their
minds to this truth.
8. Separation from the World – Accepting this identity creates a
divide between those in Christ and those still in Adam. Sheriff
connects this to Jesus’ teaching that following Him may result in
division, even within families (Matthew 10:34-39).
9. Jesus as the Father of the New Creation – He interprets Isaiah 9:6
as describing Jesus as the "Everlasting Father" of the new creation,
contrasting Adam, who fathered the fallen human race, with Christ, who
brings new life.
10. Victory Over Sin and Death – Sheriff concludes by asserting that
believers do not need another redeemer after Christ. Jesus, as the
last Adam, has reversed the effects of sin and established a new
humanity in Him.
This teaching encourages believers to fully embrace their identity in
Christ, walk in the authority given to them, and reject any identity
rooted in the old nature inherited from Adam.
Next, here's Duane Sheriff's profession of faith in the triune nature
"There is one God, eternally existent in three persons God the Father,
God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit" (Sheriff "About").

You're not my Bible. You certainly are your own Bible, but you are not
mine.

My Bible shows that saving faith IN CHRIST comes by hearing the written
and proclaimed word of God:

A) The written word of God imparts faith in Christ.

“And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples,
which are not WRITTEN IN THIS BOOK; but THESE ARE WRITTEN THAT YOU MAY
BELIEVE that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you
may have life in His name.” (John 20:30–31, NKJV, emphasis mine)

B) Saving faith in Christ comes through the PROCLAIMED gospel

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
(Romans 10:17, NKJV)

“Now I would remind you, brothers, of the GOSPEL I PREACHED TO YOU,
which you received, in which you stand, and BY WHICH YOU ARE BEING
SAVED, if you hold fast to the WORD I PREACHED TO YOU—unless you
believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I
also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the
Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in
accordance with the Scriptures,” (1 Corinthians 15:1–4, ESV, emphasis
mine)

Paul directed Timothy:

“Take heed to yourself and to the DOCTRINE. Continue in them, for in
doing this you will SAVE both yourself and those who hear you.” (1
Timothy 4:16, NKJV, emphasis mine)
--
Have you heard the good news Christ died for our sins (†), and God
raised Him from the dead?

That Christ died for our sins shows we're sinners who deserve the death
penalty. That God raised Him from the dead shows Christ's death
satisfied God's righteous demands against our sin (Romans 3:25; 1 John
2:1-2). This means God can now remain just, while forgiving you of your
sins, and saving you from eternal damnation.

On the basis of Christ's death and resurrection for our sins, call on
the name of the Lord to save you: "For 'everyone who calls on the name
of the Lord will be saved'" (Romans 10:13, ESV).

You attached my name to Robert's post.

It is not difficult to see if you walk out into the light.

Why does everything have to be complex and shadowy with you?

Speaking of which...
