Mark 8:33
But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked
Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the
things that be of God, but the things that be of men.

Who was Jesus speaking to?

Jesus is the everlasting Father, Jesus is God, Jesus is the Lord.

Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were
YET sinners, Christ died for us.

Jeremiah 10:23 O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it
is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

"To seek your own will is to seek your own glory."

"If God is not first in everything He is not first in anything."

"What makes the bible the truth? The resonance of God."

"All men were born sinners. Why? Because all men were born not loving
God with all their heart, soul and mind. An abomination. Therefore,
sin is not what you do, it is what you are."

"Compromise will condemn you."

"There are no sinners in Christ Jesus."

"My sons are born of Me. In them is no darkness at all."

"You can't learn righteousness. Haven't you had enough time already to
know that?"

"The way of truth is the testimony of life."

"I merely speak the truth, what is revealed to me, and the cards fall
where God intends."

"Nothing that is produced is produced without first being faith."

"You can only find proof of God through faith because that is how we all
live, by faith."

"It is not what you do that matters, it is how you treat Me."

"Keep going forward. Forget about the past. Lift up your head, look
ahead."

"You cannot be free with guilt in your heart."

"Priority is everything."

"The truth doesn't need evidence, it is evidence."

"There is no greater possession a man has than his own will, to squander
it or to place it where it truly belongs."

"An atheist is a fool who thinks truth is found in living a lie."

"Saying "prove it" [as a foundation] is merely an ignorant straw man, to
an ignorant straw man."

"Wait, rest, be still, and know."

"No man can wash his own hands!!!"

"I find this in the Christianity religions: 'Nobody's perfect' they say,
and they use that as an excuse not to do what is perfect."

The Atheist: "They don't believe and put their faith in a Creator (the
obvious). So no evidence and proof is to be found!!"

"The world is the way it is because God can't compromise who He is."

"Man is not the centre of being."

"Man is incompatible with the natural world because of his sinful nature."

"And then the Lord said, "I see everything."

"Man has no greater idol than his own will."

"Where is God hiding? He isn't."

"If you don't keep all the scriptures, you can't keep any of them."

"You can't prove anything because everything depends on a person's
willingness to believe."

"Atheists are ultimately trying to be pointlessness, meaninglessness,
and purposelessness in their point, meaning, and purpose."

"The last day of creation will be the last day of time. God is always
full of hope."

"The veil of the temple was rent in twain, not to have a book pass
through it so that you could play God."

"A phylactery does not a heart for God make. Not back then, and not today."

"The Bible cannot baptize. No one was ever saved by reading the Bible.
Mechanical or methodical salvation is just more Pharisee bureaucracy.
Men are saved after their conviction, death sentence, and resurrection
in baptism--the baptism of the Holy Spirit." - Nightbulb

"No one in heaven is better (or higher) than what makes it heaven. Such
is the love of God."

"The definition of an atheist: A man full of bluster and bullshit
pretending he is the meaning of life."

"Free will is not power; it is the choice that I allow; that choice is
still according to my power," says the Lord.

Non-Christians at the time were ridiculing
the Christian model of salvation, claiming it
made no sense, and the Christian response
was to point out that God's ways were not
man's ways. This is a conversation that
never really happened but was used to
emphasize that fact. If you disagreed with
God's plan then you were influenced by
Satan.

It seems to me that the Jesus character was
addressing Satan, as it was clear to him that
Satan must have been present to plant such
godless drivel in Peter's head.

How is it that Satan can be everywhere? Up there with the Scots, and

Because Satan is fallen sinful men. That is why Peter said later, "1

Mark 8:33
But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked
Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the
things that be of God, but the things that be of men.
Who was Jesus speaking to?
He's obviously talking to Peter because it says;
"he rebuked Peter, saying, "get behind me satan"

Moments prior, Jesus is praising Peter for recognizing that he, Jesus,
is "The Christ"
and saying, "flesh and blood has not revealed this, but my Father has"

so, in a matter of moments, Peter goes from speaking words revealed by
God, to becoming an adversary to Jesus.

but what is he saying when he becomes an adversary to Jesus?

he says; "i won't let you be killed"

he speaks to the man's survival instinct, much as the Tempter had done
in a previous episode.

and Jesus hears this as an interference with his mission's focus;

even if, Jesus is fully aware that Angels may very well be walking
about in his presence lest he dash his foot on a stone, and, that He,
Jesus, could call down a Legion of Angels to wipe the enemy from the
face of the earth, much as is the case for Pharoah.

Jesus knows that he must die and he doesn't particularly love the idea
but neither is he entirely afraid of dying as if this would ruin his
Day, Today.

but, in Peter's defense, he has just come to the realization that
Jesus Is 'The Christ'

but Peter may very well see Peter as this heroic God-King Savior
sent to free the people from bondage, and bondage to other flesh
and blood humans like The Romans, and Peter isn't seeing Jesus' death
as a good thing, for anyone.

but Jesus says;

"ay, you're playing on my human nature just Like that Tempter fellow,
and insinuating that i should flee the mission and preserve my own life"

and Jesus himself said;

"if you could remove this Cup, but not my will"

so, instead of just saying that "Man Is Satan"

one may consider exactly why, the deep things of Satan
seem to so readily find a home in mortal Man, and what
Spiritual Flaw is so easily exemplified in man's shortfalls;

need for food, need for living space, self preservation?

is it "evil" to desire food clothing, housing,
and to cherish one's life?

Jesus hungered at one time, and wore clothes and needed a place
to lay down his head, but

these did not elicit any sort of 'evil' response from Jesus and
he remained without 'sin'

but many people, and you may say 'all people,' do fall prey to these
wants and desires and do accomplish 'evil' behaviors in the pursuit
of such wants needs and desires,

but the flaw is not one of bodily functions

and Satan itself has fallen prey to its own Lie that was birthed
in its own mind.

and where may we find this Lie?

what did God tell man to steer clear of from the onset?

only One thing.

and Jesus, it seems, has been having this same conversation with
HeylEl/Lucifer

since long before Peter ever piped up and spoke a word, or even Adam
breathed a single word.

what is this Lie birthed in Lucifer that Man finds so appealing

but that Jesus must crush under foot with His own deLightful Truth?

not an exhaustive treatise, but simply a response as i am on my way.

Do I get an answer or [crickets]?
Mark 8:33
But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked
Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the
things that be of God, but the things that be of men.
Who was Jesus speaking to?
He's obviously talking to Peter because it says;
"he rebuked Peter, saying, "get behind me satan"
Of course Jesus is speaking to Peter, but He is also speaking to them all.

Mar 8:31  And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer
many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests,
and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
Mar 8:32  And he spake that saying openly. And Peter took him, and began
to rebuke him.

They where all of the same mind as Peter (Peter just had the emotion and
balls to say it) because they all didn't yet understand the things to come.

1Pe_5:8  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a
roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

It can't be everywhere at once. However, it can through fallen
humanity. Everywhere you go, fallen man seeks to devour, consume, and use.

Moments prior, Jesus is praising Peter for recognizing that he, Jesus,
is "The Christ"
and saying, "flesh and blood has not revealed this, but my Father has"
so, in a matter of moments, Peter goes from speaking words revealed by
God, to becoming an adversary to Jesus.
but what is he saying when he becomes an adversary to Jesus?
he says; "i won't let you be killed"
he speaks to the man's survival instinct, much as the Tempter had done
in a previous episode.
and Jesus hears this as an interference with his mission's focus;
even if, Jesus is fully aware that Angels may very well be walking
about in his presence lest he dash his foot on a stone, and, that He,
Jesus, could call down a Legion of Angels to wipe the enemy from the
face of the earth, much as is the case for Pharoah.
Jesus knows that he must die and he doesn't particularly love the idea
but neither is he entirely afraid of dying as if this would ruin his
Day, Today.
but, in Peter's defense, he has just come to the realization that
Jesus Is  'The Christ'
but Peter may very well see Peter as this heroic God-King Savior
sent to free the people from  bondage, and bondage to other flesh
and blood humans like The Romans, and Peter isn't seeing Jesus' death
as a good thing, for anyone.
but Jesus says;
"ay, you're playing on my human nature just Like that Tempter fellow,
and insinuating that i should flee the mission and preserve my own life"
and Jesus himself said;
"if you could remove this Cup, but not my will"
so, instead of just saying that "Man Is Satan"
one may consider exactly why, the deep things of Satan
seem to so readily find a home in mortal Man, and what
Spiritual Flaw is so easily exemplified in man's shortfalls;
need for food, need for living space, self preservation?
is it "evil" to desire food clothing, housing,
and to cherish one's life?
No.

But it's always about priorities in a man's life; what comes first. We
have a free-will choice.

Rev 3:20  Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my
voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him,
and he with me.

That is not to say a man opens the door of salvation, that is God's
power and choice. What it is saying is you have the choice to open up
the "shut out opening to your heart." The world is a severe place, so
it is understandable to protect your heart.

However, it is what God asks for, but there is no getting around the
fact that it is an anxious experience to be naked and exposing yourself.

It can't be a half-baked thing, though, it is all or nothing.

It is interesting that all the work is getting that door open so that
the Lord of Glory can come in. Once in, that house/heart is full of
light; as now we are seeing with that Peter fella and those disciples.

It can't be everywhere at once. However, it can through fallen
humanity. Everywhere you go, fallen man seeks to devour, consume, and use.
it's not exactly news that man has been infected by some sort of devil's
disease.

but let's guess and say that this Satan person doesn't have to eat food
to stay alive
or whip up new clothes every month or even worry about being left out on
the street
and freezing to death in the winter time.

what is it about [his] thinking process that can't take Yes for an answer?

after all, "I want to be God" or "i want to be like God" is not really a Lie
and not really objectionable To God.

God is HOLY and COMPLETE and God would like the created beings
to be Holy in character as well, wouldn't you agree?

Jesus didn't see 'equality' with God as a thing to be taken by force or
seized or grabbed at,

but, it seems as if this Lucifer/HeylEl character Did just that.

Lucifer seemed to see 'equality' with God as something to be /stolen/

as if Satan could gain a betterment for [himself] at the expense of the
other, namely God.

but in some place we are told that Lucifer was created perfect and
without lack, 'sealing the sum' even.

some may even suggest that Lucifer and Michael were both, "like God"

so this LIE still seems to be lurking about even in a creature that is
"like God"

God isn't taking credit for this 'injustice' that was FOUND In Lucifer.

which is to say, God din't put the LIE inside of Satan, as Jesus contends,

Satan The Devil derived this LIE from within [himself]and from Within

a personality that had been Created perfect and lacking nothing.

so, while Peter and company may very well have had mixed emotions as it
were,

WHY was this Satan character dissatisfied with being Like God?

Satan seems to lie to himself about the very Nature of God.

and Satan seems to see equality with God as some sort of struggle for
Supremacy

and Imagines that God thinks the same way as Satan now thinks.

whereas God simply Is who God Is.

God does not NEED at all, much lesss NEED to derive some Good thing
for God's own self at the expense of any other, much less at the
expense of God's own creations.

so now, we have Conflict

we have God who is Perfect and Holy and complete
and seeks to bring this new creation to completeness

and we have Fallen Lucifer who has become an adversary to God
and sees equality with God as a thing to be Stolen away.

the Perfect Giver, and the imperfect taker

so this LIE is truly that Good can be derived
at the loss and expense of an other.

and this knowledge of Good and Evil Is the devil's own Ideology,
derived from within Lucifer's own resources and personality.

an Ideology where "My Good" can be "Your Bad"

and the same act of murder and theft can be both Good and Bad,
depending on who is on the perceived Upside and who is on the downside.

like as if, when one steals from another, this is Good for the thief an
bad for the victim.

the same action is sees as both Good and Bad.

and NOW we have personal Conflict and a house divided against itself

where one allows actions, that the same would OBject to,
were these actions perpetrated against itself.

Pharoah can turn you into a slave, but would very much
object to being turned into a slave himself.

paranoia ensues and the downward spiral is in place.

welcome to Man's world, as influenced By Satan.

and you don't have to go very far to see the Fingerprintsof Satan , VS.

as they are ubiquitous.

VS. short for Versus, drawn from Adversary also, Satan.

Mark 8:33

things that be of God, but the things that be of men.
Who was Jesus speaking to?
The Scripture actually tells us. It was Peter. ("he rebuked Peter")
Peter thought devilish thoughts right then by saying that Jesus would
not need to be sacrificed. That is something Satan would say to
contradict God. So Jesus let him know that.

He rebuked Peter for the same reasons you have been rebuked by many who are
Believers.

He heard a word of satan, and assuming it was his own thinking of compassion
for the Lord, Peter spoke it out. What you said about it being something that
satan would say, is actually something that satan did say, and satan who
knows the ways of men better than man knows himself, used that sympathy to
corrupt the words of Peter and thus possibly touching the fleshly mind of
Christ and corrupt him as Satan tried to do when he tempted him after Jesus
was filled with the Holy Spirit.

Satan is as active today as he was then, creating blindness, and deafness to
the righteous religious people thus keeping them from having an experiential
relationship with Jesus and the Heavenly Father.

Yes, JW James you are always right.

Jesus was speaking to all of them for He knew what all of them were
thinking. They didn't understand what was happening and why at that
time. It doesn't take much to see that and feel all the disciples.

Read the presiding verses, and the very scripture I posted would be helpful.

Thank you, thank you very much, JW Perfect James.

Mark 8:33

Who was Jesus speaking to?
He was speaking to Simon. Stupid. ???? NEW name old name.

CAN YOU BE A FISHER OF MEN BY GOING AFTER THEM TO DO HARM TO THEM?

Come ye after me, and I will make you to be fishers of men. 20 And they
immediately leaving their nets, followed him.

And He did not say, GET THEE BEHIND ME. (<invalid Bible) He said, Go
behind me.

Matthew says the same thing.>

23 Who turning, said to Peter: Go behind me, Satan, thou art a scandal
unto me: because thou savourest not the things that are of God, but the
things that are of men.

AND, IT IS SPELLED CORRECTLY stupid world.

God had not the way to explain it to Him, so this is how He explained it
using naming simon satan. Because he really was not St Peter yet.

2nd Kings also with David, He told David the same thing in battle, the
same sense of attack, of one who was guilty of Blasphemy of the Holy
Ghost, end of story) the philistines giants, of which, Simon was not
guilty of that. Simon was in good intent but, wrong circumstances. In
battle the same thing, go behind them. sneak attack. He gets the element
of surprise that way against the devil.

But of course, you would never understand because you do not use the
true Bible. Being the heretic that you are. Simon was his old name,
his new name was Peter. Taken for the priesthood yes. Simon was in
fact the one who was learning still. After you follow Jesus, then you
have learned, not until then. It does not make one the devil, only
those who need to be taught are taught with the devils name so one may
distinguish the differences between God's Voice, and the devils voice.

that, is why you are stupid. And Andrew the heart doc also.
Protestant Bibles are invalid and yee be a heretic if you do not
understand the truths of it.

Besides, how many of you think that God, speaks to satan?
Its same, same as He does not hear the prayers of sinners.
