About who does Isaiah 53 speak?
(too old to reply)

Who is the suffering servant in Isaiah 53? The messiah, or the people of
Israel?
See the answer here: https://tinyurl.com/53-Isaiah
Very clearly it speaks of the Messiah, who is the Redeemer that Isaiah speaks
of. The people of Israel divorced themselves from God, they paid for no ones
sins and for their own sin they suffered the consequences.

Jesus was born and raised a Jew. His disciples, his mother and siblings were
all eyewitnesses to whom he was and is. He died a Jew, as the Lamb of God,
slain for the sins of all mankind. He arose from the dead, as the Redeemer that
Isaiah speaks of. The Saviour and the soon coming King.

He failed in fulfilling the messianic prophecies, therefore he was not the messiah.
