How much more do I need to say?

This.......The faith of True Believers in God. The evidences of those who had
Works of Faith, those who Spoke the Word of Faith, believing, yes, believing
unto death.

Look, See what God has wrought through those who walked by faith, Believing.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not
seen.” (Heb 11:1)

YES, this IS FAITH!

Heb 11:32 How much more do I need to say? It would take too long to recount
the stories of the faith of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel,
and all the prophets.

Heb 11:33 By faith these people overthrew kingdoms, ruled with justice, and
received what God had promised them. They shut the mouths of lions,

Heb 11:34 quenched the flames of fire, and escaped death by the edge of the
sword. Their weakness was turned to strength. They became strong in battle
and put whole armies to flight.

Heb 11:35 Women received their loved ones back again from death. But others
were tortured, refusing to turn from God in order to be set free. They placed
their hope in a better life after the resurrection.

Heb 11:36 Some were jeered at, and their backs were cut open with whips.
Others were chained in prisons.

Heb 11:37 Some died by stoning, some were sawed in half, and others were
killed with the sword. Some went about wearing skins of sheep and goats,
destitute and oppressed and mistreated.

Heb 11:38 They were too good for this world, wandering over deserts and
mountains, hiding in caves and holes in the ground.

Heb 11:39 All these people earned a good reputation because of their faith,
yet none of them received all that God had promised.

Heb 11:40 For God had something better in mind for us, so that they would not
reach perfection without us.

Aare we to take the above pointer to "works" within the "word of faith"
modern doctrine/tradition/rituals? Those OT figures mentioned below knew
nothing of wof of course. Nor might we add did anyone else until the last
half of the 20th century.

Then as common in jw, take a snip of scripture and pour backward 2000 years
an entirely moderen "theory of scripture.

the question is thus answered, yes it is the wof movement being poured
backward into a couple of similar words,ie. "word/faith".

Deu
30:14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart,
that thou mayest do it.
The poor woman who wrote that evidently thinks the entire bible from the time
of the beginning of the Israelites unto now is only 2,000 years old. Did she
learn that from the Orthodox religion? And then she tries to compare it to her
friend James.

Well,.... Jesus had addressed her misunderstandings nearly 2,000 years ago when
this happened.

Mat 15:25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.

Mat 15:26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's
bread, and to cast itto dogs.

Mat 15:27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall
from their masters' table.

Mat 15:28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith:
be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that
very hour.

This is far from the first time that Jesus associated words with Faith. Was
Jesus incorrect?

Another case of word/faith,... actually two more.

Mar 5:33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her,
came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.

Mar 5:34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in
peace, and be whole of thy plague.

Mar 5:35 While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house
certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any
further?

Mar 5:36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the
ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.

Isn't it wonderful that for those that have faith in God that all things are
possible, and as James has said, those that doubt should never expect a thing.

One has to have Faith and exercise it in order to be saved.

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it
is the gift of God:

Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works,
which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the
mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Again, there is the tie in of Word and Faith, again, and so it has been since
mankind fell. Sadly those that dismiss it will reside in hell.

Jesus provided a way of escape that no religion could provide. No doctrine of
man can provide it, neither does any tradition of men. Trust in the Lord with
all thy heart is a doctrine given by God the Father since the time of Man, and
the OT is full of scripture regarding it. Including this,....

Psa 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

Yes, the tradition of men is a poor substitute for the LORD, who is the only
one by whom one can be Born Again to eternal life.
