Yes, God wants us to follow his written righteous word. You find that
offensive? Notice 1 Peter 4:18,

- Revised Standard
1 Peter 4:18 And "If the righteous man is scarcely saved, where will
the impious and sinner appear?"

So God's word tells us to strive to be righteous. There is nothing
wrong with that.

Yes, God wants us to follow his written righteous word. You find that
offensive? Notice 1 Peter 4:18,

1 Peter 4:18 And "If the righteous man is scarcely saved, where will
the impious and sinner appear?"
So God's word tells us to strive to be righteous. There is nothing
wrong with that.

Armageddon, so-called, happened in the years 66-70 anno domini.

The old heaven and earth of the temple passed away, and the new,
established on the new covenant, was firmly established in its place.

66-70 anno domini ushered in the age of fire and brimstone, in which
those outside the covenant are burned by fire, and the devil and his
angels were cast for an age of ages.

Mankind is now almost 2000 years into this age of ages. The idea of
Armageddon being a future event is from a misunderstanding of the
scripture, and the pride of man seeking to justify his religion.

Jesus said, "Every man will be salted by fire." There's the good fire
and the painful fire.
